Matthew 6:9–13On the second day, God created the firmament — that vast blue expanse separating the waters above from the waters below. The color of the sky is not coincidence. Liquid oxygen, at its coldest, is that exact shade of deep blue. The heavens are saturated with the very element that sustains life.
But the firmament is more than atmosphere. It is the medium between realms — the space between what exists in the invisible and what manifests in the visible. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray “on earth as it is in heaven,” he was describing a principle, not just a hope. Heaven is where things begin. Earth is where they land.
Every thought you think exists first in the heaven of your mind. Every word spoken, every action taken, every life built — it all began as something invisible, something held in consciousness before it took form. The firmament is the bridge. And you cross it every single day.
